January 5, 2010

Dear Clients:

As we start this New Year, big changes are in store for our Center! We are very excited about our growth. We have been using donated offices at First Baptist of North Augusta for many years. We are very grateful for their support of our ministry. Because of First Baptist's generosity, we have been able to minister to many families that could not have afforded counseling services otherwise. Now, the time has come that First Baptist is in need of the office space we have been occupying so we will be relocating.

On January 29, 2010, we will be moving our main office from North Augusta to Martinez. Our new home will be on the second floor of the Family Life Center at Marvin United Methodist Church at 4400 Wheeler Road, Martinez, GA 30907. This church is located just off of Interstate 20 (exit 194) at the intersection of Belair and Wheeler Roads. Our new telephone number, after February 1, 2010, will be 706-305-3137. However, our old North Augusta telephone number will forward calls to the new office so you may continue to use 803-819-9021 for a while.

How will this affect you? Some of our counselors will be moving to the new office and some will be moving to different churches in North Augusta. Some of them will remain in the offices they are presently using.

Dr. John Hill will be moving to the new office. All appointments with him after January 29, 2010 will be in Martinez. Unfortunately, this will affect some of his clients who have BC-BS of South Carolina. If your BC-BS of SC insurance is through BC-BS State Health (APS) or through the BC-BS policy at Savannah River Site (Value Options), you will still be able to use your insurance to see Dr. Hill. However, if your insurance benefit is paid through BC-BS of South Carolina (Companion Benefit Alternatives), you will no longer be able to use that insurance to see Dr. Hill. That division of BC-BS of SC will not pay for providers in Georgia. If you want to continue to see Dr. Hill, you may qualify to pay a reduced fee, based upon your income. Please call the office for more information.

Donna Strom, LPC, will stay in North Augusta but will be moving to an office donated by Grace United Methodist Church, 639 Georgia Avenue, which is located next door to the Administration Building of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Donna will provide more information about that office when you make an appointment with her for sessions after January 29, 2010. You will be able to contact her by her cell phone: 803-640-0679.

Joe Shank, LISW, will also stay in North Augusta and will be moving to North Augusta Church of Christ at 600 West Martintown Rd. on February 15, 2010. He will be working all day on Mondays and on Friday in the morning only. He will give you more information about this as he schedules appointments. He can be reached by calling his cell phone: 803-361-1257.

Please note that Donna Strom and Joe Shank will only be able to take payment by check or exact change in their new office situations. If you pay in cash but don't have exact change, any overpayment will be applied to your next session. These counselors will no longer have access to a credit card terminal in the donated offices. We will continue to require that you pay your agreed fee at the time of each session so please plan ahead for this.

Monique Cauble, LPC and Rebekah Davis, LAPC, will also be moving to the new office at Marvin United Methodist Church on January 29, 2010.

Our other counselors, Fran Rhodes, LPC, Carole Meek, LPC, Wendy Vello, LISW and Becky Moore, LCSW will continue seeing clients at the churches they have always used. They will not be affected by the move except for the new mailing address for payments.

We look forward to a smooth transition but ask your understanding and patience as we deal with the inevitable glitches. This move has been at considerable expense to our office but it is our intention to continue to operate just as we always have by offering reduced fees for those in need. You can assist us by continuing to pay your agreed fee at the time of each session so that our cash flow is not interrupted. Most importantly, we need your prayers that God will bless our ministry so that we can continue to offer reduced fees for those in need.

We would be honored if you would drop by for our Open House and Dedication Service on February 7th at 3:00 pm. We look forward to continuing our relationship with you in the New Year!

Sincerely,

Susan Harbin
Admin. Assistant
